Welcoming our Home Manager Billy Thomson to Manor Grange
Manor Grange Care Home are thrilled to introduce to you our Home Manager, Billy Thomson.
Billy’s career, which began in the 1980s, has always been driven by Nursing and Care... He trained in both Psychiatric and General Nursing at Bangour Hospital whilst living in Edinburgh. He then chose to work in care for the elderly and worked as a charge nurse in a small Hospital in Bannockburn until the mid-1990s.
Since then Billy has had a true passion for residential and elderly nursing care. Working for two large charities, Leonard Cheshire Disability and Methodist Homes, Billy worked his way to top level management at his most recent position for a Bupa/Advinia Care Home in Glasgow.
With a Master’s degree in Disability studies, a Certificate in Health and Safety, and a Management qualification, Billy is always keen to add to his knowledge and experience to provide excellence in care for his residents.
Residents’ well-being and health is a priority for Billy: in addition to a serious interest in the rights of the elderly, he will ensure any support necessary is both of a high standard and is delivered in partnership with residents and their families.
Billy is keen to be an accesible Home Manager, with an ‘Open Door’ policy: he will always be free to have a chat and take on any suggestions you may have.
