The Return of our Annual Summer Fair

We were delighted to see the return of our first Summer Fair since the pandemic. The fair took place in the Piano Bar and Garden, where residents, their families, and staff attended.

There were stalls including a tombola, cake & candy, crafts, strawberry cream teas, raffles and sideshow games. Despite the wet weather forecasted, we were very fortunate to have a lovely warm sunny afternoon. Some residents at our care home in Edinburgh enjoyed assisting on stalls such as the cake & candy stall.

The summer fair is a simple and fun event to celebrate summer, have a lot of fun with loved ones and raise funds for the Residents Social Fund.

The Manor Grange summer fair gives everyone the opportunity to relax and enjoy a social occasion, where relatives get a chance to meet their peers on an informal and fun basis, and our residents enjoy seeing lots of new people, especially all the children and pets that are brought along to the event.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious spread of food and drink prepared by the kitchen staff, lively music and plenty of chatter and laughter that filled the room. Everyone commented on how much they had enjoyed themselves, and we hope to arrange a summer fair for next year following the success of this year's.
