Spring Has Sprung at Manor Grange!

Now that the sunshine’s finally made an appearance, our residents have been out and about enjoying all the little things that make spring so special. After a long, chilly winter, it’s been a real joy to help everyone get back to doing the things they love – whether that’s having a coffee and a chat, getting close to nature, or soaking up some art and culture.

We’ve had a lovely time visiting the Kelpies with a picnic in hand, wandering the peaceful paths at Lauriston Castle and Saughton Park Gardens, and popping out for bar lunches and café catch-ups. There was even a trip to the Model Railway Show, the zoo, and a wander round the National Art Gallery – with something to suit everyone’s interests.

One of our favourite moments? A big smile from one of our ladies cuddling a giant fluffy penguin at an exhibition – that one definitely made our day!

Getting outdoors again has really lifted everyone’s spirits. The trees around the home are turning green, the garden’s bursting with colour, and we’ve even spotted a few baby rabbits hopping about. There’s something about the fresh air and a change of scene that just makes us all feel that bit brighter.

These outings are all chosen by the residents themselves, and it’s lovely to see how much it means to them to pick where they’d like to go. We’ve got lots more planned as we head into summer and can’t wait to make more memories together. If you'd like to discuss care for a loved one, we’d love to welcome you in for a visit, show you around, and tell you more about life here at Manor Grange.
